Biography & Teaching Style
Silvia Scott joined the Spirit Equestrian team to focus on the development of younger riders and beginners. She brings a calm, encouraging coaching style and a strong emphasis on building confidence, good posture, and safe riding habits from the start. Silvia also helps organise the club’s junior training camps and forwards-themed events such as mini-shows for families. Her work ensures that children not only learn to ride, but also to care for their ponies, understand tack, and develop good stable routine.
Competition Participation & Coaching Highlights
Coached and entered junior riders in the Annual County Pony Dressage Series (2019–2023).
Participated as a competitor in children’s pony show-jumping events (2018–2021) before focusing primarily on instruction.
Ran the “Mini-Show Day” for under-12 riders at Spirit Equestrian (2020, 2022, 2023) — helping over 40 children partake each time.
Charity & Community Involvement
Organised the “Ponies for Kids” charity fun-ride (2022) raising £3,200 for local children’s hospices, with all junior riders participating.
Volunteer co-coach for the “Riding for All” initiative, offering subsidised lessons for children from less privileged backgrounds (2021–2023).
Hosts monthly “Stable Skills” open-days for families to learn safe handling, grooming and horse-care basics — free to local community schools (2022 onward).
