Our Beginner’s Horsemanship event is designed for first-time riders and anyone new to horses who wants a comprehensive introduction to riding, handling, and caring for these incredible animals. Participants gain practical experience, build confidence, and enjoy the unique bond that comes from working with horses in a safe and supportive environment.
Event highlights
Riding Basics:
Learn mounting, dismounting, posture, and basic reins control on well-trained school horses. Instructors guide you step-by-step to build confidence from the very first ride.
Grooming & Handling:
Hands-on lessons in brushing, hoof care, and safe interaction with horses. You’ll discover how grooming strengthens trust between horse and rider. It’s a calm, rewarding way to truly bond with your horse before every ride.
Feeding & Nutrition:
Understand how to feed and care for a horse’s dietary needs. We cover portion sizes, feed types, supplements, and hydration essentials.
Stable Safety & Management:
Learn essential barn safety, from proper stall upkeep to safe handling routines around horses. We’ll walk through organizing equipment, maintaining clean spaces, and creating smooth daily workflows.
Picnic & BBQ Lunch:
Relax together with delicious food, snacks, and outdoor seating near the paddocks. Enjoy a peaceful break while watching horses graze or riders pass by. It’s the perfect moment to recharge between activities.
Family Photo Spot:
